Company History
Prior to founding Gutter Cap, Inc.
Steve Tenute, began marketing another manufacturer’s gutter protection
product in the Chicago area in 1991. The product sold extremely well
in the first few months. He soon realized, however, that the product
had some significant design and quality deficiencies, causing costly
service and warranty issues. Steve decided this product wasn’t the
best he could offer his customers. And so he ceased installing that
product. With his knowledge of the market and considerable experience
working with aluminum, he opted to develop and produce his own design.
Thus began Gutter Cap, Inc. which is today a leader nationwide in the
gutter protection industry. His first product was patent pending in
1993 and his patent was received in 1995.
Gutter Cap, Inc. markets their products
exclusively through a select group of exterior home improvement
companies who are required to complete rigorous installation training
at Gutter Cap’s facility in Chicago. This allows Gutter Cap to be able
to monitor and assure a quality installation. Today, Gutter Cap
remains one of the only manufacturers that require their dealers to be
certified in factory approved installation techniques.
Innovation in manufacturing and installation training, along with
revolutionary new product developments, such as the patented Heater
Cap, continue to provide significant growth for Gutter Cap and its
dealer network throughout North America.
